Summary of the Manager of the Year Łódzkie Region 2022 Competition - Awards and Honors

The jubilee 15th edition of the prestigious Manager of the Year Łódzkie Region 2022 competition, organized by Dziennik Łódzki and Loża Łódzka BCC (Business Centre Club), has concluded. Nominations and trophies were awarded to the top managers of the region. The ceremony took place at the Fashion Promotion Center in the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź.

The goal of the competition is to select the best managers of the year 2022 in the Łódzkie region. The title is awarded by the Competition Chapter, which includes prominent individuals such as the Voivode of Łódzkie, Marshal of the Łódzkie Voivodeship, Mayor of Łódź, Rectors of the Łódź University of Technology and the University of Łódź, President of the Łódź Special Economic Zone, Chancellor of Loża Łódzka Business Centre Club, Director of Loża Łódzka BCC, President of Polska Press Macroregion Center Łódź Kielce, Vice President of Macroregion Center Łódź Kielce, and the Editor-in-Chief of Dziennik Łódzki. Managers are evaluated in three categories:

• Micro and Small Enterprises (employing up to 49 people)
• Medium-sized Enterprises (employing 50-249 people)
• Large Companies (employing 250 or more people)

In the Micro and Small Enterprise category, the following individuals were nominated:

• Małgorzata Polzenius - Managing Director of Hutchinson Institute
• Przemysław Andrzejak - President of the Management Board of Royal Sail Investment Group
• Dr. Eng. Marek Pawłowski - President of the Management Board of the Polish SMART Technology Council
• Michał Wasilewski, CEO - APLAN MEDIA
• Bogumił Zięba - CEO of Inovatica AGV
• Bożena Ziemniewicz - President and General Director of British Centre Sp. z o.o.
• Edyta Znyk-Piotrkowska - owner of Gastro Food
• Bogusław Klimczak - President of the Management Board of Klimeko Sp. z o.o., sp. k.
• Kamil Kluszczyński - founder of Polska Fundacja Szkoleniowa, owner of a dietary catering business
• Mateusz Stypułkowski - President of the Management Board of PTA Foundation

Michał Wasilewski, CEO of APLAN MEDIA, was honored with the award in the Micro and Small Enterprise category. APLAN MEDIA is a marketing agency with over 15 years of experience specializing in projects for the public and NGO sectors.

Tomasz Krysiński, President of the Management Board of Airbus Helicopters Polska, was awarded the title of Manager of the Year 2022 in the Medium-sized Enterprise category. The company specializes in mechanical design of civil helicopters and new structural platforms.

In the Large Company category, Karol Szmich, President of the Management Board of Delia Cosmetics, emerged as the winner. Delia Cosmetics is a Polish cosmetic company that is a leader in the domestic market and a significant producer in Central and Eastern Europe, supplying cosmetics to over 60 countries on 5 continents.

The Competition Chapter also awarded three distinctions:

• In the Micro and Small Enterprise category, distinctions were given to Bożena Ziemniewicz, President and General Director of British Centre, and Przemysław Andrzejak, President of the Management Board of Royal Sail Investment Group.

• Hubert Hoffman, founder and majority owner of Commercecon, a general contractor of modern industrial facilities, was distinguished in the Medium-sized Enterprise category.

• The organizers of the competition also presented a Special Distinction to Andrzej Furman, founder of Aflofarm, one of the largest and most recognizable pharmaceutical companies in Poland.

The awards ceremony concluded with a concert by Iza Połońska.
