For many visitors, the most important news is:

Managing such an important and extensive website without an appropriate CMS was a significant problem. Each edition or addition of new content to the website involved the involvement of considerable resources and it was difficult to implement them immediately. An additional difficulty was the fact that in public administration websites, each change in the content must leave an annotation in the system about the version, author and time of introduction. For the website administrators, numerous other functionalities were also important and that the CMS should be available under an open-source license. An additional requirement was the migration of data from the older version of the website to the new portal.

TYPO3 CMS is a proven and secure website management system

We analyzed the available solutions. Finally, we proposed the implementation of TYPO3 CMS - It is a very efficient and secure content management system - says Przemysław Pawłowski, Inovatica analyst. - TYPO3 CMS has very extensive user authentication options, hierarchical content acceptance and granting permissions. The website manager decides which user or group will have access to selected administrative functions or editing specific parts of the portal.
In addition, TYPO3 CMS allows you to create friendly URLs, which is particularly important in the context of SEO. The system also can generate new websites or landing pages and manage them from one panel. It is a very convenient functionality that allows you to easily generate new pages when the need arises using ready-made templates.

Reliable IT partner

It is worth remembering about a few advantages of companies that implement IT projects for public administration. Usually such a company has to win a tender where the most important criterion is price. Many additional requirements also apply to commercial customers. In practice, this means that you must have a team of permanently employed in-house programmers. They must have documented experience and the softwarehouse must provide numerous references confirming its know-how. The company must also have an excellent work organization to ensure that it delivers the results according to the agreed budget and schedule. An experienced team of full-time programmers, know-how of numerous previous implementations and the ability to offer IT solutions at an affordable price are the advantages appreciated by all our partners, regardless of the industry.

Key features of TYPO3 CMS that determined its use in this project:

  • Defining permissions for individual website editors or groups
  • Easy creation of subpages based on graphic templates uploaded to the CMS
  • Managing multiple pages from one CMS panel
  • Collaborative work of many editors
  • Each editor's action leaves a trace in the system, which makes it easier to verify the content
  • High level of security

Summary

Inovatica developed a website for the Ministry of the Environment along with a support service and warranty. The website is regularly updated independently by a team of trained editors. The online service is adapted to mobile devices with various screens. CMS TYPO3 turned out to be the right choice, and service management has been simplified and involves fewer employees than before its implementation.
